DescriptionDear Sir,
I have a Letter to Day from Dungeness, saying that the fire Grate of the Old Lighthouse will not hang together but a few Weeks longer & that the Stock of Coals will not hold out more than a Month, and that the Nights are growing long & Dark, all these are urged as reasons for me to Say when the new Lanthorn will be compleated, we are waiting entirely for the reflectors, I hope you will be so good as say when I may expect them.
Our treaty goes on Slowly, the Board of customs seem inclined to raise warehouses at Towerhill-to the great detriment of the Merchants as all the Evils will remain
A Memorial from the Principal Importers has been presented-And Another from Merchants & exporters is now going About to be signed, which is in strong terms and must carry weight in our favor
Mrs. Wyatt & Louisa join in best respects-believe me
Dr. Sir
Your faithll. Hum. Servt
Sam Wyatt
