| Description | (Dated Wednesday afternoon.) Dear Friend, I thank you kindly for yours of this morning. My grandson is at home, Knill Court, Herefordshire, per Presteigne. I wish very much that you would read the paper you sent me yesterday and that I returned, which I sent to you the 21st ultimo and duplicates to principal creditors, containing copies of a letter I wrote to Mr. George Home and Mr. Hog and a state of some very important points (in all, ten folio pages). I have there proposed a plan for closing my affairs, and I hope it will be thought proper to desire a general meeting of creditors for a final determination, which I wish should be as soon as possible after Mr. Romilly's return from Paris, that I may have his aid in settling resolutions to be made at that meeting. He intends to be in London the latter end of next month. I am ever your grateful and affectionate friend, Samuel Garbett |
