Description[Thanking him for the medal. Comments that several of his friends think a medal should be struck to commemorate the service he rendered the king in 1795, referred to in the enclosed document. ] [Accompanying the letter is a printed sheet of witness statements detailing the actions of Mr. Bedingfield in preventing a mob forcing open the door of the King’s carriage during his return from the House of Parliament to Buckingham House in October 1795. (The last statement is dated 29 Oct. 1807.)]
