DescriptionConcerning: Boulton's health and Mr Cheshire's letters; Mr Novossilszoff [Novosittzouff]; his letters to Boulton; Count Wassilieff [Vasilyev]; reciept of dies given to Grizen to polish; coins stolen in the mail intended for Count Wassilieff and the Emporer Alexander I; an account of the Emporer's bemused response to being presented with the coins from Soho, mistaking them for a new Russian coin and offended at their improper and inconsistent resemblance of his own head; estimates of the finishing date of the Mint as longer than expected; the progress of the workmen and in particular that James Harley and James Walker had slowed down the progress of their work to match James Duncan and William Speedyman, whose work took longer; Walker's failed appeals to Wassilieff [Vasilyev] for 'ingenius workmen' to be sent to gain knowledge of the Mint, that labourers were sent instead, and hints by Deriabin and Count Soblikoff that this will result in the detention of the English workers for longer than necessary; that Deriabin will persuade the Count [Vasilyev] to allow Leizel to be sent to the Soho Mint; comments on the want of workmen for the Mint in Copenhagen, recommending Duncan but not the others and particularly not Harley and Duncan together; Mr Novosittzoff [Novosittzouff]; and the money owed for the machinery and Count Woronzow.
