| Description | The contents of this file were formerly in a portfolio (222) entitled:
G H / General Correspondents 1819 / to / 1836
Within the portfolio, the documents were arranged in two chronological sequences, as follows: Letters. (1-202) Copies. (203-221)
Under Matthew Robinson Boulton's scheme of arrangement the file was placed in Box L. iii.
The correspondence with Grainger was passed by Boulton to his attorney, George Barker; but, since Grainger did not press his claim, it was returned to Boulton by Barker's clerk, Henry M. Griffiths, on 11 May 1827.
In the following list, the copy documents are all press-copies; the summaries in quotation-marks are taken from the contemporary dockets. |
