My dear Son,
I have been very much indisposed lately, and now I am got about again I am so taken up with various business and engagements that I cannot get one hour to my self to write to you; however, I write this short line whilest Dr. Hershall the astronomer and a Polish gentleman wait for me.
I beg you'l return home as soon as you can with convenience to your self, and, if Mr. Stiglitz of Leipsick is not set out, you can come together.
Pray write Mr. Reinhard and tell him I will take his son, as you recommend it.
I will send you two or three letters of introduction by next post, if you return through Amsterdam.
It is not possible for you to take the tour you proposed. Write by return. Pay all your debts. God bless you. I am ever you affectionate father,
