Description(Directed to Mr. Bourdon’s, rue de Maurepas.)

Dear Matt,
I wrote to you the 28th ultimo, since which I am without any of yours.
I have by this post wrote to Metman the taylour dans le rue Seine, St. Germain, and have desired him to make for you either a frock or a suit of dress clothes; but query if a frock will not be sufficient for the present, and the dress may be had when the summer is farther advanced? however, I leave it entirely to your own judgment. A frock suit is sufficiently handsome to dine out in whilest it is fresh and new.
Mrs. and Miss Stuart are yet at Brussells, but propose going directly to Paris and have sent for your adress. I must therefore beg of you to shew them all the lyons at Versailles and shew them every attention and politeness in your power, that their report of you when they return home may do you honour. Pray take care not to put them to any expence, but, on the contrary, if there is occasion to pay any thing whilest you are with them, pay it yourself.
Young Mr. Dean of Christ Church was at Soho lately and desired to be kindly remember'd to you. He says that he and all your Parlby school fellows speak of you with great regard, and Mr. Parlby says he shall be happy to hear from you.
I have been more hurryed since I left France than ever I was in my life, and have but little assistance at this time from Mr. Watt as he is poorly.
Please to present my best compliments to Mr. Bourdon and the ladies, and likewise to Mr. Geni when you see him.
In hopes of hearing from you often I remain, my dear son, your very affectionate father,
M. Boulton
I want my Sal; if you can find an opportunity of sending it, pray do. I have got a fine girdle making at Soho for Miss De Lassert with camios and steel tassells.
