| Description | (Dated at the House of Commons.)
My dear Son, I have just receiv'd your last. Our contest in Parliament is now put off till Tuesday next, when I expect Mr. Southern will come up on Monday as an evidence. It hath just come into my mind that it might be agreeable to you to come up with him, and it may be instructive for you to hear the debates of the House on our and sundry other business. It may also be instructive and advantageous to you to accompany me every morning amongst the Lords, in order to canvas them, for I fear we must go into that House at last, and I never shall have such another opportunity of introducing you, nor you of knowing so many people of that class. I think, if it will be agreeable to your self, you had better come up, and I will provide you with lodging. I have not time to say more than my love to your sister. Yours affectionately, M. B. Go on with one light fly, and we will try both.
