TitleLetter. Pascoe Grenfell (London) to Matthew Boulton [Soho].
LevelItem
Date17 January 1805
Description(In the hand of an amanuensis; signed by Grenfell.) [The copper from Bristol will be manufactured by Messrs. Freeman & Co., who have for many years past co-operated with us in important contracts. Twenty tons will be ready on Saturday at Temple. As to carriage, Mr. Weeks recommends sending the copper first to London to be shipped for Birmingham by the Grand Junction, but surely this cannot be so expeditious as sending it from Temple to Oxford. I hear from Cornwall that your pence and halfpence are disappearing. I have urged Mr. Rose to spur on Mr. White, the Treasury solicitor, in drawing up your contract.]
