| Description | "Report of his and his brother’s proceedings at Soho during our absence." My dear Papa As I have been a good boy Charlotte has given me leave to write to you which I am very glad of as I have a great many things to tell you. Hugh William and I are practising Les Graces hoping to be perfect in it before you come home. I can now jump over fourteen. I have had a good lesson with Mr. Tylecote. Please to ask Aunt Bessy if she has made any sentences for me. We went to church on Sunday and Milly was very good. We went to Thornhill and Aunty was much the same. Mrs. Watt called here and wished us to come to Heathfield and said she had had a letter from Aunt Bessy [Miss Elizabeth Stockdale Wilkinson, his mother’s sister] and we were very glad to hear that you were all well. Mr. Hodson called here the other day but so late that we were all in bed. We are very glad that you have the weather so fine; we take our books out and are very happy. Our loves to you all not forgetting Master Lindle. I hope Ned and you will excuse all faults but I must now leave off as we are expecting Mr. Thompson. Believe me my dear Papa to be your affectionate son Matthew Watt Boulton
