| Description | "Return to Eton. Unable to hire a lock-up boat. Information as to the next Election day." (Directed to 5 Cornwall Terrace, Regent’s Park.)
Eton. Friday, Apr. 22. 1836 My dear Papa, I arrived at Windsor quite safe, yesterday at about 6 o’clock, from whence I walked down to Eton, and had my luggage brought down by a porter; my carpet was put down ready for me, and I like the pattern very much; I am not quite certain yet whether I shall be able to get a lockup, for the greater part are taken. This week I believe is a very hard one, having 4 exercises, for unluckily a saints day falls next Sunday week which if it had come on Saturday would have taken off theme; I am not quite certain whether the day for return is the 25th of July, as I told you for some of the boys say that they holidays commence, not on the last Monday in July, as I supposed, but on the Monday after the last Saturday in July; in the latter case they will not begin till the 1st of August. I rather think I have left my hair brush at London, at least I cannot find it anywhere. I hope Aunt Bessy & Kitty are getting better, please to give my love to them, & to all the rest, and believe me to remain Your affectionate son, M. P. W. Boulton.
