| Description | "Inquiry as to confirmation. Disappointed of a boat. Pindar the book proposed for ‘private business.’ " (Directed to 5 Cornwall Terrace, Regent’s Park.)
Eton. Apr. 24 1836 My dear Papa, Mr. Coleridge wishes me to write to you, to say that the bishop is coming here for a confirmation sometime in June, & as some of the boys are going to be confirmed, he thought I had better ask you to know whether you wish me to be so. I have not been able to get a lock-up, for they are all taken, & so I intend to get what is called a chance boat, that is to say, to give so much for the chance of a boat being in. I have found the hair brush since I wrote last, it was in a drawer in my new room, in which I had not looked before. I believe that Mr. Coleridge intends us to do Pindar for private business this half; The few days since I came here have been very rainy, there was only one afternoon fine enough to go out in a boat. I suppose Aunt Bessy & Kitty are quite well by this time, give my love to them; and to the others, & believe me to remain Your affectionate son, M. P. W. Boulton
