| Description | "Results of the Eton trials, and his success." (Directed to 61 Wimpole Street.) My dear Papa, I was sent up a second time by Mr. Chapman, on Friday, as well as Cotton, and Mansfield, Currey, Lowndes, Brine, and St. Croix were also sent up once. I took my remove yesterday, so that I am now fifth form, and took twenty-seven places. Cotton & Mansfield took 24, Lowndes took 12 and Stratton 7. The Remove is consequently very much altered, and as there is no new list, I will tell you how it comes. Brine, St. Croix, Cotton, Mansfield, Boulton, Lowndes, Earlsfort, Scott, May, Fowell, Sanford, Gwynne, Claggett, Cave, Boscawen, Burroughes, Cox, Mahony, Stratton, Murray, Gompertz, Windham, Clayton, Waring, Mynors, Hardwicke, Proctor, Fountaine, Currey’s place is not determined, Seymour, Craven, Godsal, Carew, besides Morgan, Lowry, & Molesworth who have taken double removes. As this is the third time that I have been sent up, Dr. Keate, when he reads my exercises over, will give me a book, which every boy has, every third time he is sent up. Cotton was the best in the remove, and therefore received the prize, and I was second. Give my love to Miss Burgess, Aunt Bessy, and Sisters, and Believe me to remain Your affectionate son, M. P. W. Boulton
