I have seen J Watt & found your dear little Matthew is the child he wishes to Stand God father too if you & Mr Boulton have No objection to it & also if Mr Boulton & you wish to add Watt to Matthew he will feel obliged by that piece of respect paid to his fathers Memory I to will be much gratified by having the Name of Watt Joined with Matthew Boulton I pray the dear Infant may long live & enjoy the great Qualities of his Eminent & & [sic] Worthy Namefathers With kind respects to you & Mr Boulton
