| Description | "His acknowledgements for my testimonial in his favour." Birmingham April 19th 1816 Respected Sir, After a lapse of more than 4 years & engagements in other services, to have received from under your hand any testimonial in favor of my conduct at Soho I should have felt it my duty to acknowledge with humble & grateful thanks; but the very prompt & handsome reply with which you have honored my Nephew M'r James Deykins's letter, & the ample justice you there render to my poor services, is so signal a mark of your especial grace & favor that I should feel it almost infamous to withold for one moment the expression of my warmest & most grateful acknowledgements;-nor can I help regretting that the poverty of my language can do so little justice to your goodness, & the feelings of my own heart, on so interesting an occasion:-yet, believe me Sir, I do feel most sensibly an instance of your kindness which has, if possible, augmented my respect for the Family & which will never cease but with the existence of it's object. I remain, soliciting with all deference my duty to Miss Boulton, Respected Sir, your much obliged & most obedient huml Servt Wm Cheshire M Robinson Boulton Esqr Soho.
