"Murdock will inform you of the proceedings of the Copper Junto who are endeavouring to prevent the Birmingham Company’s from buying ores, by joining with Williams in contracting for the greater part at a high standard and thereby monopolizing them. I suppose the Agents of the Birmingham Companies have already apprized their employers of this Manœvre, but for the greater security you may mention it to my Father."
