Redruth 5th Septr. 1799 Mr. Joseph Gibbins Sir I send you the Offers for this days sale and can only say that great part of the Ores have been bought by the Cornish Co & Freeman & Co form 120£ to £124. I have only bought 39 tons at £115—if you wish me to alter your former Orders should be glad if you would write pr return of post. I remn. in Haste Dr. Sir yr. mo obt. Servt. James Christoe I fear next weeks Ores will be equal in price with the present.
Birmingham 10th September 1799 Mattw: Boulton Esqr Dear Sir This morning post handed Your favr: of 8th: Instt: and I immediately copied & sent Mr. Cheshire that part thereof that You directed me to inform him; and also communicated the other part to Mr. Gibbins in consequence whereof he annexed sends You a Copy of the sales of Cornish Copper Ore’s for the 29th August & 5th September. He thought it right that You should have the former date, that You might see the great rise on the latter day.
