| Description | London Street May 18th 01 Dear Sir I have again gone over the Accounts in Mrs Ms Books in pursuit of Mr B’s expences here on the Copper bill the only trace relating to the subject, after the payment to Weston has been noticed, is the following viz April 9th 1800 paid himself £100.— paid him pr Coin to Monnettpr order of Simcox 25.— Now Mr B never took one hundred pounds at a time for his own use and Monnett at that time kept the Spring Garden Coffee house (but is since dead) & therefore conclude both sums were on the Copper Accot. I have seen Mr. Macauley who says if you cannot make the money 20 pr Ct thinner you must try it at 15, 10 or even 5 pr Ct and if the impression is still tardy in coming up you must e’en make it as before but it is material to the interest of the Company that it shod be done speedily as a Ship will be ready to sail for the Head quarters soon as the embargo is taken off. Consols are 59½. I am Dear Sir Yours Jno Woodward
