Most of the letters relate to transactions on Miss Boulton's account with the firm, such as the receipt of dividends or the half-yearly instalments of Miss Boulton's annuity from her father, or the purchase of stock on her behalf. The annual accounts originally enclosed with 6, 11, 15, 22, 25, 30, 36, and 40 are wanting, but the account sent with 47 is present. Several of the letters enclosed stock transfer receipts; these were removed and placed in a separate series, cross-references to which have been provided.
