| Description | These bills are vouchers to entries in the Cash Book, 1820. Compare also the entries for 1820 in the Cash Book, 1819-1820. At one time the bills were stuck inside the latter book, but they were later removed, folded up, and docketed. The bills are frequently annotated to show the purposes for which the various materials were bought (e.g. 2) or to show how the amount was divided between the accounts for Household disbursements (“M. R. Boulton’s account”) and Personal expenses.
