| Description | Most of these bills are vouchers to entries in either the Cash Book (Household Account) (pp. 1-3) or Cash Book (Private Account) (pp. 11-13). For one bill (J. & W. B. Dadley) there are entries in both books. They were formerly arranged in one sequence in rough chronological order, but they have now been divided into three sequences, as follows—
Household Bills.
Private (or Personal) Bills.
Other Bills.
The first two sequences are arranged in the order of the corresponding Cash Book entries; under Other Bills are listed, in chronological order, a small number of bills for which no Cash Book entries have been found. |
