| Description | These bills are vouchers to entries in either the Cash Book (Household Account) or Cash Book (Private Account). They were formerly in a single bundle, arranged in rough chronological order. They are now arranged in the following four sequences:
Numbered Bills.
Unnumbered Bills (Household Account).
Unnumbered Bills (Private, or Personal Account).
Other Bills.
The unnumbered bills are listed in the order of the corresponding Cash Book entries. The last sequence comprises bills for which no Cash Book entries have been found. Note that some of the later Private bills are entered in the Cash Book under the year 1827. No. 62A was inserted after the rest of the bills had been listed.
The engraved illustrations of some of the bills have been cut away (e.g. 13); this was evidently done before the bundle was made up.
