| Description | My dear Nanny My Horse is sadled in order to go to meet Mr Parrott at the Pits, & then to go to Birmgm. to night, but Mr Vere is so unhappy about my departure, as all his affairs at this Place are in great Confusion, that he hath prevaild upon me to stay untill they are quite finished & then they will be deliverd up to the care of Mr Wedge who is to manage them hereafter. I therefore think it will be Saturday or Sunday before I can return. I am sensible of the inconvenience my own business sustains but gratitude requires it. one good turn deserves another I shall write to the Children from this place & tell ’em they may expect to see us soon Mr & Mrs Matthews set out on Sunday last on Horsback & got here on Monday before dinner.
