Oh my Soul if thy Love was but like mine thou wouldst eagerly press me to thy Bosom & never permitt me to depart till the sacred Tyes of Matrimony had made us one. ’tis too late to repent embarking in this troublesome affair for I cannot now return till I have the permission of parliment & now our affair is retarded again by the Death of the Brother of the Speaker of ye House of Commons so that we shall not have another hearing till next Monday & then I shall be able to guess when I shall return I hope the asparagrass came safe & by the next Coach will send some Tea & other things even that thing which links me to all the happiness I wish for in this Life I mean a pretty Toy made from the very Golden Guinea I won & receivd from my Lovely, Dearest, sweetest Charmer with some other trifles also If there is any thing thou yet canst think of do let me know for I love imployment in thy services. & a Letter (if it was but one Line nay but one word) from thy dear hand would revive me & make me greater than a King. do my Love indulge me it will come time enough if thou writes it on Saterday night.
