| Description | The Sales Book Ledgers contain accounts of coinage customers. "Sales Book Ledger" is William D. Brown's title (cf. Day Book, p256; Journal 1798 - 1803, p.183) but the titles added on the spine by Matthew Robinson Boulton (apparently at a later date) are "Ledger of Coin Customers" (1797 - 1809), "Ledger of Coin Customers" (1800 - 1809), and "British Coin Customers' Ledger" (1805 - 1811). A separate ledger was kept for each of the three British coinage contracts. |
