| Description | Soho, December 7th, 1801. Mr. John Woodward. Dear Sir, Mr. Boulton begs the favour of you to pay Messrs. James & Barnard £12 9., the amount of the inclos’d bill of parcels, and also the amount of a bill for a cask of wine sent to Doctor Carmichael at Birmingham, the precise amount of which we are unacquainted with. Mr. Boulton supposes it has been charg’d to Dr. Carmichael, which was not intended, and he requests the mistake may be corrected. I wou’d have sent you cash for the above purpose, cou’d I have ascertain’d the amount requir’d. I must therefore beg the favour of you to take your reimbursement either thro’ the medium of Mrs. Matthews, on Mr. Boulton’s Private Account, or thro’ me, as may be most agreeable to you. I remain, dear sir, your most obedient humble servant, Wm. Cheshire |
