DescriptionAlston has informed Cheshire that Pope wishes Mr. Wednesbury to settle with William Creighton the quantity of mud wheeled by Pope from Meredith’s Pool on Matthew Boulton’s account. Cheshire is willing to settle the dispute between himself and Pope in this way and wishes an early day fixed “to finally terminate this unpleasant affair,” in order that the pool may be refilled as soon as possible, as they have “already trespassed too much on Mr. Palmer’s indulgence.” (Copy of an original signed for Matthew Boulton.)
