I beg leave to enquire if it will be convenient to you to undertake the sale of a small parcel of Household Furniture in the neighbourhood of this Manufactory.—An old Woman, a tenant of Mr Boulton, being desirous of giving up Housekeeping wou’d wish to have her goods sold by auction as soon as possible;—I mention’d your names, recollecting that you had done Mr Boulton a service of this kind of the abandonment of the Soup Establishment at Handsworth, & I consider’d that you did him great justice in the disposal of so small a lot of goods.
If it suit you to sell the things above alluded to you will have the goodness to send a person over to make the Inventory, who may enquire for me, at the Manufactory, or the Widow Peploe in Brook Row adjoining thereto.—If your other avocations will not allow you to sell the above in a few days please signify the same by a line to Gentn—your obt Servt
