| Description | Sir, About a Year ago Mr Boulton desired Mr George Mynd to request the Favor of you to procure for him two very handsome Marble Chimney Pieces, the one for a Drawing Room, the other for a Dining Room. At that Time M’r Boulton being in tolerable Health he amused himself with some Drawings which will be forwarded to you by Coach this Afternoon, but not with any View of dictating to your Choice either in Design or Dimensions, nor would Mr Boulton have you at all conform to them unless in such Points as may perfectly coincide with your own Taste, which will point out to your what is proper for each Room. M’r Boulton has been in a very ill State of Health, & confined to his Room, for many months; but we now cherish the Hope of seeing him about again, as his Health improves, tho’ slow, daily. It is now highly desireable that Mr Boulton should pursue recreative Objects & as your Assistance in procuring the above as expeditiously as possible will enable him to complete a long protracted Work of Improvement, so I am confident your prompt & best Exertions on this Occasion will be considered by him very obliging. Should your Business or Pleasure bring you into this Neighbourhood Mr Boulton would be glad to see your at Soho, being desirous of conversing with you on another Object. I take the Liberty to request that you will favor [me with a Line stating] how far it may be in your Power [to do what] Mr Boulton wishes respecting the Chimney Pieces.
