DescriptionDear Sir
I received in due course your letter of the 21st Ultimo Containing Mr Boultons draft for One Hundred Pounds. I beg you will present my best respects and thanks for the same—
I shou’d have acknowledged the receipt of the above, long ago but was requested to know something of the colours left at soho, which I cou’d not say any thing to, as Mitchel was out of town and had no knowledge of colours being left as on all occations we have every thing sent home—as soon as Mitchel came home on enquiry I find he had orders the year before last to do a great quantity of rough post & rail fencing—for which he ordered coarse colour to do it but the Winter seting in he could not finish it.—and last year when he was busy at the house late Scales’s some of the Country painters where set to finish the work already begun by him—we never use such colours, and if Mr Boulton have any common fencing that wants painting it is certainly better for being old, but shou’d he find no use for it I certainly will take it back though I may never use it—
I am Dr Sir
Your Oblidged Humble Sert
Cornelius Dixon
