Dear Sir
If you will have the goodness to tell my son (the Bearer of this) from the bill of Painting, what colours where left at Soho; Joseph the coachman can tell him where they are.—after that if you will have the goodness to send them here by the soho cart I shall find a use for some of them & the rest I will send home—
He has also a letter for Mr Boulton which if you will take the trouble to give him this morng when you go to him Posibly may be better than sending it up by the servants,
It is inconceivable the trouble I have of geting my money from those who call themselves or who are called great folks; when I was in town the week before last I was Promised by two Persons of distinction concederable sums I received a letter yesterday from home saying they had both disappointed—I have now much against my inclination, written to Mr Boulton requesting his further assistance with Eighty pounds which if you can forward you will much Oblidge
Yours, &c—Cornelius Dixon
