TitleLetter. John Harvey (London) to William Cheshire (Soho). 30 May 1806.
LevelItem
Date30 May 1806
DescriptionNo objection to the marble dust being returned. “I must beg leave to differ in opinion with Mr Mynd in respect to the Chimney Pieces which was shewn him being superior to those sent by Mr H as I am confident there is not a Mason in London that can produce finer marble and better workmanship – it is true chimney pieces may be had at an inferior price, made to the same design, but they would be inferior both in workmanship, the quality & quantity of materials – also I have to say that there has been a material advance in marble since Mr Mynd saw the chimney pieces in town.”
