| Description | Respected Sir, Mr. Brown having suggested that, in the present dearth of country orders, it might be proper to revive the subject of the coinage by a circular letter to the purport of the inclosed, I beg leave, by his desire, to submit to you the propriety of the measure; on which, shou’d you think the adoption of it expedient, I shall be happy to have the honor of your instructions, both with respect to the proper form of the letter to be written, and to the persons in the annexed list whom it would be adviseable to address on the occasion. I am, respected sir, your obliged and obedient humble servant, Wm. Cheshire Mint Office, Soho, March 6, 1807. M. Robinson Boulton, Esqr., London [Edited transcript.] |
