DescriptionRespected Sir,
After having for some time abandoned the hope of ever again seeing my afflicted master I was much gratified to hear of his being better both yesterday & today & I was most agreeably surprised to receive a message from him this morning desiring me to wait upon him.
Among the anxious thoughts which press upon the mind of our valuable friend I have to inform you that he mentioned in the kindest & most affectionate manner yourself & family, desiring me to drop you a line to offer you his sincerest good wishes which I do with great pleasure & should the remission of pain & good hope of the day gather stability, I shall communicate the good tidings to you most cheerfully, being with respectful remembrances to the Ladies, your & their obliged obedient & humble servant, Wm. Cheshire. Hoping your health is perfectly re-established.
[PS] Miss Boulton desires her kind remembrances & wishes me to state that a Haunch of Venison was despatched to you on Sunday last which she hopes reach’d you safe.
