Respected Sir, Referring you to my hasty scrawl of last Evening, I beg leave now to inform you that your Luggage (an oilcased Trunk and a deal Box) will be forwarded to-morrow morning by the Bath Coach, which leaves Birmingham at nine o’Clock in the morning, and is expected to be at the White Hart Inn, Bath, at 9 o’Clock the same Evening. The Packages are addressed to yourself at Bath. There has been no alteration in the health of Soho Family since yesterday Morning. I hope you and Mr. Mynd have not experienced any material inconvenience from the fatigue of your journey Annexed you have an extract of a Letter from Mr. Woodward to Mr. Brown, which I trust will be acceptable. I remain, Respected Sir, your obliged and obedient Servant, Wm. Cheshire Extract referr’d to. February 1st. “The difficulty about the extraordinary 22 Tons 4 Cwt. of 20 Cash I hope is surmounted. The Committee have agreed to take it on condition that you undertake to furnish 40 or 50 or more Tons, of 10 Cash, over and above yuor present contract, on the same terms, out of the Copper that has or soon will be by me forwarded to Soho, and which Copper was heretofore intended to be appropriated to the Coinage for Bengal. I hope to send you the Official intimation to-morrow.” |
