DescriptionMr. Boulton thinks burnt fire clay “a neat colour,” and that it would harmonize tolerably well with the red gravel of the walk on the one side and the dark mould of the garden on the other. Besides, fire brick clay is stronger. Boulton wishes King to try an experiment in regard to warping by making half a dozen tiles; any expense incurred will be paid. Gives directions concerning the dimensions.
