DescriptionDear Sir,
After the scuffle I found the umbrella, which I thought was Mr. Bentley’s, and it is safe at his house. The conduct of that guard was so intolerable that I was determined to make him eat humble pye, and went to the Bull & Mouth on Thursday to meet him. I told him I should insist upon an apology, etc., for his conduct, and I intended to represent his conduct to Mr. Willen, but could not see him; however, I propose yet to speak to him upon the subject and request Mr. Guard may have a rap. He begged hard that I would not complain, otherwise he was fearful of losing his place.
I have sent the letter to Mr. Cadbury. I am, dear sir, yours,
J.Mosley
