TitleLetter. John Robinson (London) to William Cheshire (Soho). 3 Sep. 1811.

DescriptionJohn Mosley set off on Sunday morning for Ramsgate. Robinson has no doubt that Mosley put the letter for Driver in the post, but it may have been sent to Chester, where one of the Drivers resides, which will explain why Cheshire has not yet received an answer. Will inquire concerning it to-morrow at Driver’s office at the auction mart.

London, September 3, 1811.
Mr. W. Cheshire.
Dear Sir,
Mr. Mosley set off on Sunday morning for Ramsgate, and in answer to your letter of this day I have to observe I have no doubt Mr. M. put the letter for Mr. Driver into the post, as I have the cover in which it was enclosed before me; but if I mistake not, the letter you received from Mr. Driver was dated from Chester, and I understood that one of the Mr. Drivers resides there, so that I think it not improbable that your letter may have been sent there, which is the cause of your not having yet received an answer. I will call at Mr. D.’s office at the Auction Mart tomorrow and make some enquiry respecting it.
I am, dear sir, your obedient servant,
Jn. Robinson
