The volume includes illustrations showing the Children's Emigration Homes on St. Luke's Road, Birmingham and the Guthrie Home, London, Ontario [Canada]. The fourteenth annual report includes a plan of the route taken by the SS. 'Lake Superior' to Canada carrying children from the homes and showing settlement districts in Canada. The fifteenth and sixteenth annual reports include similar plans of the routes taken by the SS. 'Lake Ontario' to Canada carrying children emigrating in 1887 and 1888. The eighteenth annual report (for 1890) includes three photographs of children who have been sent by the homes to Canada. The children in the photographs are not identified. |
