DescriptionOn 1 April 1925, the Canadian Government announced a decision to prohibit for three years the immigration of children who had not reached school leaving age of 14, with the exception of children going to Canada to be legally adopted. This decision restricted the number of Middlemore Homes children eligible for emigration to Canada.
