Index cards typically include the name of the girl, age, date sent out to Canada or Australia, address in Canada or Australia and the year the girl will be removed from the after-care register (will reach 21 years of age). Some record cards includes dates of after-care visits. The cards are separated into two sequences, the first for girls sent to Canada and the second for girls sent to Australia. The cards cover children emigrated in the 1920s and 1930s. |
