| Description | This sub-series comprises bundles of papers relating to applications for admission to the Crowley Orphanage for Girls. The number of application documents relating to each child varies, but typically application papers consist of an application form, a birth or baptism certificate for the child and certificates of marriage and death or burial for the child's parents. The information given on the application form includes the applicant's name, address and relationship to the child, the name, date of birth and some health details of the child and information relating to the child's parents. Some bundles include correspondence relating to the application. Dates given at item level represent the year the applications for admission were received, however some bundles do contain documents which are later in date. |
