LevelSub Series
Date1920 - 1927
DescriptionThe Younger Women's League was made up of female members of the Adult Schools and activities included lectures, summer conferences, winter schools, social work, a drama club, rambles, weekend trips to the Midlands Adult School Union bungalow at Vigo or the Guest House at Bewdley, excursions and social evenings. It worked to open new Women's Schools and find suitable women to be leaders of these schools.

In June 1926, the Committee discussed whether or not it should merge with the Young People's Committee. A decision was not taken at that time but in February 1927 it was decided that the Younger Women's League should join the Young People's Committee.

Joan M. Lloyd was President of the League for a number of years.

See MS 703/1/2/9 for records of the Young People's Committee and MS 703/1/2/10 for records of the Young People's Extension Committee.
