| Description | Members of Class XIV Bristol Street Adult School organised a meeting in the Workman's Hall, Elliott Road, Selly Oak in 1882 where they explained the aims of the Adult School movement to those present. As a result, both a Sunday Morning and Afternoon class were started there. From 1895, Selly Adult Oak Adult School met at Selly Oak Institute which had been built as a gift from George Cadbury (1839-1922). There was also a Women's group. |
