A number of calendars contain annotations next to the list of names, with corrections or updated details about the members of the Class and are also initialled JHL or have the name John Henry Lloyd on the front or back cover, suggesting these were his own copies. John Henry Lloyd was a prominent Birmingham Quaker, Mayor and Alderman of Birmingham (1855-1944), who was active in the adult school movement for many years as a teacher of Severn Street Early Morning School Class I and also a Trustee of the Staniforth Hall Trust. |
