| Description | A note in SF/3/4/12/3/2 suggests that the Quarterly Meeting book 1695-1729 was lost prior to 1828. This volume appears to be a duplicate of the original and was found in private hands in London. Formal entries of minutes start from 18th day of the 1st month 1695/6, and they gradually take on a more standardised format. There are a number of entries prior to the first set of minutes which record sufferings, including lists of Friends who were sent to prison from the 1660s onwards. Also includes copies of the writings of George Fox, dated 1666 and lists of the monthly and Preparative Meetings included within the Quarterly Meeting on the inside cover and in the minutes for 1734. Details of births, marriages and burials are recorded at the back of the volume. |
