This register was intended to replace 'An account of the Charitable Trusts and other Properties belonging to the Friends of Warwick, Leicester and Stafford Quarterly Meeting' produced in 1895 (see SF/1/9/4/1), the last time such a register had been compiled. It contains basic brief information about each trust including the name of trust, a brief history of the trust and any changes to its purpose, its current purpose, the number of trustees and method of their appointment, assets, deed and document of title and in whose name and where this is held, the address of clerk to the trust, where the information to compile the register entry comes from, whether the trust reports to the Monthly Meeting and how often, names of the Warwickshire Monthly Meeting trustees and the trust's approximate income. The back of the volume contains some notes by Michael Darby about the reasons for producing the index, how it was compiled and any omissions. |
