DescriptionCare of Meeting Houses Group was a national Society of Friends body, mainly consisting of architects, formed to develop guidance for Meetings to appropriately care for their meeting houses, many of which are historical buildings. The group's work culminated in the publication of 'Care of Meeting Houses Handbook'. These are papers collected by Selby Clewer (6 April 1917 - 12 April 2001) an architect (including Chief Architect for Bournville Village Trust) who was a member of the group and was also Clerk to Warwickshire Monthly Meeting Trustees (North).
