The work undertaken by many of the committees in this sub-series is reported in the Monthly Meeting minute books (SF/2/1/1/1/1) and the Monthly Meeting reports relating to minutes (SF/2/1/1/1/4). In addition, these volumes may include references to committees for which no committee minute books appear to have survived. Many of the committees worked with an equivalent central Yearly Meeting Religious Society of Friends Committee, particularly when taking action on national issues such as housing, refugees or penal reform, and reported to the Yearly Meeting, therefore references to these committees may also be found in the Yearly Meeting Books of Extracts (see SF/1/11/1/5-25).
