TitleConsolidated plan subscription collection sheets and related papers
LevelSub Series
Date1930 - 1965
DescriptionFriends were invited on an annual basis to make contributions to the finances of the Society, known as the Consolidated Plan, and collection sheets were used to record the amounts donated.

The treasurer maintained a list of potential subscribers who could be sent the collections sheet, administered the collection of Friends' contributions and collated the paperwork into a single collections sheet with the total of Warwickshire Monthly Meeting subscriptions.

In the 1930s, printed subscription collection sheets were used which were divided into General and Local Funds and Friends could add an amount against whichever aspect of Quaker work within these that they wished to support. Some aspects of Quaker work included on the collections sheet changed over the years to reflect current issues with which Quakers were involved. The General Fund included: the Yearly Meeting Fund from which the general expenses of the Society of Friends at national level are funded; Ackworth School and Sibford School and contributions to these Quaker schools were used to provide bursaries so Quaker children in need could attend; the Home Service Committee which undertook work in the UK; the Friends Service Council which undertook work overseas and at this time was working in East Europe, Germany, Scandinavia and France; the Central Education Fund; Friends Temperance Union; Friends Peace Committee; York Retreat which is a Quaker hospital for those suffering from mental health issues; Anti-Slavery and Aborigine Protection Society; the Industrial and Social Order Committee which investigated issues around social inequality and the Bedford Institute Association which worked to combat social deprivation in London.

The Local Funds included: Warwickshire Monthly Meeting; Severn Street First Day Schools; Friends Sunday School Union; the Education Committee which helped local Quaker children and young people obtain educational bursaries; Bull Street and George Road Preparative Meetings; Bull Street Women's Benevolent Fund; Bull Street Social Union; Kingstanding and Perry Common Occupational Centre.
